Traffic was blocked for weeks by the protesters till finally Thai Army and police "cleared" the area.
Surely turmoil will rise again;-(
It's said that former Prime Minister Thaksin is financing the uproar from his exile.

@Eva:The Reds wanted overthrow the present government but because of too much turmoil the Thai Army and police set an end to the bloody and destructive demonstrations and cleared the camp of the Reds.
Aside from the burned down buildings just now normal life again in Bangkok.
But surely the already years lasting confrontation not ended;-((.
The Reds have many supporters, especially in poor Isaarn, and Thaksin financing the protests from his exile.

Exactly. In Thailand we always go to Wellblechbude and eat what it gives in the only Topf.They are schon confused when we come, weil Schnitzelrestaurant on the other side of the street. But we are hartnäckig and want lecker Supp from wacklig Tisch.

@Klexy:In the normal cheap thai restaurants es wird kein trinkgeld nicht erwartet.
They will probably be confused.
Anyway saure kuddla, schupfnudla mit sauerkraut, leberspätzle etc.es gibt nicht in Thai reataurants.
Aber schon z.b. in Hua Hin, das wo ist fest in German hands.
Gibts dort German restaurants wo kannst "futtern wie bei Muttern".
But that's expensive in vergleich zu normal delicious Thai food..
