Fire & Ice
Bitte entschuldigt den rein englischen Kommentar. Mir war es wichtig nochmal ein Bild hier zu teilen. Leider kommt die Zeit für die Übersetzung etwas zu kurz :-). Das Bild enstand im März diesen Jahres in Island.
Original Kommentar:
My personal work has been put a bit on the back burner as of late, due to many other projects coming up. That being said, I am surprised to see that I have never shared this image with you before. I consider this as one of my best images from a trip earlier this year to Iceland. Quite frankly, I loved every moment of the trip. Being totally sleep deprived and feeling freezing cold at night in my litter camper van is no comparison to the beauty that I found every day while being on this magical island.
This image was taken on one of those special mornings. I spent the night at Jökulsárlón and woke up just before sunrise and started shooting the lagoon. I then noticed the light changing quickly and ran over to the ice beach on the other side, searching for a good composition and a piece of ice that I liked. I did not expect to find such a perfect piece, which is a perfect display of the rising sun and the radiating sunlight inside the ice. Clearly one of my favorites.
Technique:
I used luminosity masking techniques to process the images and blended three image for focus and an additional two for dynamic range. Meaning six images in total for the best possible result and quality. Additional touch ups include a bit of dodge and burn and levels adjustments.
Feel free to share my posts with other, comment or simply like, if you like what you see ;-).
